There were 25 who made the trip to Silverthorne, CO and stayed in the Lodge for the 2007 Allen Family Reunion. And with Marvin and Sara Lindsey that made 27 total who made an appearance. The trip was great and I'm looking forward to the next one. I think this reunion set the bar really high. Hopefully, those of you who weren't able to attend see these pictures and it makes you want to attend future ones. By the way, Grandma Jean nominated Brenda to organize the next one and some of the ideas thrown out were Branson, MO, Great Wolfe Lodge/new KC water park, Chicago, New York, or another canoe trip. So if you want to add your two cents give Brenda a call, I'm sure she would welcome your help.
In this post, the family and group pictures that were taken can be found. Posts down lower in the blog show what we did while we were there. Enjoy!

Here's how we spent most of our trip to Colorado. Sitting around telling stories, catching up on with each other's lives and of course playing pitch. Team Monwolf almost pulled the upset on team Mongoose, but in the end the goose laid the golden egg.
We celebrated Uncle Vaughnie's birthday while we were there. For future Allen reunions, most thought the last weekend in July would work best, which Vaughnie thought was great since it will always be on or near his birthday.
Here's Derek and Brad playing a few licks on my guitar.
Leonard decided to take a nap on the couch. Elena kept trying to wake him, but he just wouldn't wake up. Even a couple of kisses on the cheek or stealing his hat weren't enough to wake him up.
Here's the microbrew we went to for lunch after whitewater rafting in Glenwood Springs. Both the food and beer was very good.
